  I enjoyed a moving and memorable service there one Sunday morning some years ago. The village was under an evacuation order because of three large active Wildfires in the area. At 11:00 expecting to be alone, I was joined by a young US Marine who was on Leave and his father who lived in the community where he worked maintaining the electrical generation system.
  I was there as part of the BC Governments Wildfire Protection branch assisting with the managing of the fire fighting. After brief introductions we sang three hymns together, accapella.The Marines father preached a sermon on God's love using the parable of the Prodigal son as an illustration. We prayed for the safety of the Fire fighters and the Whole Community and then closed with another hymn.
  It was a humbling experience to sit on the wooden pews with spots worn smooth by the backsides of others before Me, over 85 plus years, hearing God's word still the same.
  It was very surreal stepping back outside into the thick heavy smoke and the almost obscured faint orange glow of the sun.
  The Church is well worth the visit. It is an interesting historical building in such a remote corner of the Province
